MLK JR. OBSERVANCE
The NHCCC Diversity Committee will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during an African-American History Month observance, Feb. 11 at 11:30 a.m. in the NHCCC Crew’s Lounge.

CAPTAIN’S CUP BOWLING
The 2019 Captain’s Cup Bowling League kicks off on Thursday Feb. 21 at 5 p.m.
The league games will be played every Thursday and will run for six weeks. The league is limited to 12 six-person teams with four bowlers playing on league nights.
Register at the E-Street Gym Feb. 11-21. Cost will be $6 per bowler per night and will cover three games and shoe rentals.
There will be a mandatory caotain’s meeting at Lighthouse Lanes, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m.

MARRAIGE ENRICHMENT
The Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Chaplain’s Office will be hosting a CREDO Marriage Enrichment Retreat, Feb. 15-17. The retreat will be held at the Omni Hotel in downtown Corpus Christi and will be a great time to reconnect with your spouse! All legally married active-duty & Reserve service members and their spouses are eligible to attend. Childcare will not be provided. Participants are individually responsible for their own childcare.
CREDO Retreats are in high demand; therefore, all registrations are based on a “first-come, first-serve” policy as there are limited seats available. FAMILY GAME NIGHT
The base library is hosting a Family Game Night on Feb. 27 from 4 - 6 p.m.
Families are invited to team up against other families or against each other in fun and exciting games.
Some of the games available include Scrabble, Jenga, Chess, Monopoly, checkers and more!

THURSDAY NIGHT MOVIES
There will be a free showing of “Bohemian Rhapsody” held tonight at 7 p.m. in the Community Recreation Center (Bldg. 1281). Free popcorn will be served. There is limited seating so reserve your spot by calling 961-3768.

TEENS ON THE GO!
The Youth Activities Center’s Teens On The Go program provides teenagers ages 13-18 a chance to meet new people, socialize and get involved in fun activities.
Stop by the Youth Activities Center and fill out a registration packet to participate in events and trips.
Upcoming event/trip:
March 14: Captain Marvel movie at Century 16 Corpus Christi and dinner at Dave & Busters. Participants depart from the Youth Activities Center at 7 p.m. and return at midnight.
Cost is $22 per teen, and covers the movie ticket and dinner. Register by March 6. There must be a minimum of three participants in order for the event to take place.

Blind dates are waiting to be checked out at the Library up until Valentine’s Day. Readers are free to have multiple blind dates! Participants who rate their date will earn a special treat.

ADVANCEMENT CYCLE 243
The March 2019 Navy-wide enlisted advancement examination (Cycle 243) testing dates for paygrades of E4-E6 was announced in NAVADMIN 318/18.
The Navy-wide examination dates are March 7 (E-6), March 14 (E-5) and March 21 (E-4) for Sailors eligible to advance to the next-higher paygrade.
Examination results are anticipated to be released to command triads in May, prior to posting on the Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS) website.
VALENTINE CRAFTS
The base Library (Bldg. 1872) is hosting a Valentine Craft event, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Children of all ages are invited to stop by the library to make fun Valentine crafts in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
