HM3 Faramarz David Hassanpour, a laboratory technician at Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi, performs phlebotomy to collect a specimen for a complete blood count (CBC) test that measures several components and features of blood, including red blood cells, which carry oxygen.

Hassanpour, from St. Petersburg, Florida, enlisted in the Navy in 2010 and considers his job in the lab rewarding.
