DR. WALLACE SPEAKS

Lt. Commander J.H. Brooks, Chaplain of the Naval Air Station invited Dr. W. H. Wallace, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Corpus Christi to speak at the Protestant Church services, Sunday morning, July 20. Dr. Wallace delivered a message to the congregation of enlisted men, Cadets, and guests on the subject of “What to Keep and What to Throw Away.” His sermon was inspiring to all who heard him, and his dynamic personality will not be forgotten. Chaplain Brooks plans to invite other ministers of the different churches to fill his pulpit from time to time.

COOPERATION

In this day of construction and organization we are confronted with many difficult problems. Among the largest of these numerous worries can be named the recreation program. Under the direction of the Chaplain and his staff of officers and enlisted men, the program has progressed beyond our brightest hopes, but even yet, we find a few drawbacks and hindrances that create for us a handicap in the recreation program.
