MARDI GRAS TRIP
MWR is sponsoring a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Feb 14-16.
Package Includes: round trip on charter bus; two-night stay at the Marriott on Canal Street (Double occupancy per room). Patrons will be on a self-guided weekend after hotel check-in is complete. Sign up by Jan. 10.

DONUT RUN
MWR will be hosting a donut run, Jan. 23, at 3 p.m. at the Marina.
Test your fortitude on a 2-mile run while eating three donuts will be eaten from start to finish. For every donut eaten, one minute will be shaved off your total run time.
For every donut not eaten, one minute is added to your total run time.

MILITARY APPRECIATION
Texas A&M Corpus Christi Men’s Basketball is hosting a Military Appreciation Night, Jan. 22.
Come out and watch the Islanders take on the University of New Orleans at the American Bank Center.
Free reserved ticket for active and veteran military service members – additional reserved tickets will be $6 each.

NEW YEAR RESOLUTION CARDIO
MWR is hosting a New Year Resolution Kick Off Cardio-thon at Fitness Express, Jan. 23 from2:30 to 4:45 p.m.
Cardio dance begins at 2:30; Indoor cycling begins at 3:45.

WINTER CRAFTS

FAMILY FITNESS CLASS
MWR has a Family Fitness class every Saturday at 10 a.m. at Fitness Express.
This class is for parents and children ages 7 and up. The Family Fitness class is free for authorized MWR patrons, and includes a full body workout with basic cardio drills, functional strength training, and flexibility work.
Everyone comes together for group stretching at the end of the class. Call 961-3164 for more information.
CARDIO DANCE FITNESS CLASS
There is a free cardio dance group fitness class held at Fitness Express every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 -10 a.m.
This cardio class uses music and easy to follow dance moves combining fast and slow rythms. All fitness levels are welcome.

MWR is hosting a Supr Bowl party at the Catalina Club, Feb. 2. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Game starts at 5 p.m.

MWR will be holding a Junk Yard sale on March 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

FREE BOWLING

MWR GUEST CARD PROGRAM
The MWR Guest Card is available to all eligible U.S. citizens who do not currently have base/MWR access.
Card program members will have permission to use the Gulf Winds Golf Course, NASCC marina, RV park and MWR food facilities. A criminal history background check is required.

BABY TIME AT THE LIBRARY
The Library and Resource Center (Bldg. 1872) holds Baby Time every Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m.
