Occupation: NASCC MWR Sports and Aquatics Coordinator Years Exercising: 20 years Frequency (how many times a week): Six days a week, ocassionally twice a day. Favorite Exercise & food: Abs and biceps; tacos and donuts. Favorite motivational saying: “Our greatest goal is not in the never failing, but in getting up every time we do.” What inspired you to start exercising? I’ve always been an athlete. I played college basketball and golf and honestly hated the weight room. I got fat. God gives you one body, so take care of it. Being in shape, saved my life in a car accident. How has being consistent with your fitness benefited you? There’s sothing better and more satisfying than looking in the mirror and loving what you see. It’s a lifestyle for me now and is even incorporated with my job. What do your family or friends think of your fitness habits? The fam is on board. I run with my mom and we love to work out together. My dad works out on the golf course! Lol. What challenges have you overcome to maintain your fitness? I love food. Balance is everything. I’m starting to feel some cricks coming up on 30 too. What advice would you give someone who is just starting their fitness journey? Trust the process! Patience and consistency is key. Also, just because you ate bad one day or didn’t get to the gym, it’s okay. Tomorrow is another day, so get back after it. .
