Boots-2-Business Workshop

Nov. 6-7, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Have you ever wanted to start your own business? Ever wondered what benefits and funding are available to veteran-owned small businesses? Not sure where to start? Then the Boots-2-Business workshop is where you belong.

Advanced SAPR VA Training

Nov. 1, from 9-11:30 a.m.

Advanced SAPR Victim Advocate Training – “Walk the Plank.” VA’s walk through victim responses from the beginning through the end of report.

There will be a follow-on hospital tour on Nov. 7, from 8-9:30 a.m.

Basic Resume Writing

Nov. 12, from 8 - 11 a.m.

A three-hour workshop for active-duty members who have not attended TGPS workshop and/or who are not transitioning from active-duty service. Retirees welcome on a space available basis. Class-size limited to eight participants. ID required. Prerequisites include bringing an existing resume, if any, as well as copies of a VMET, JST, and prior fitness reports. Benefits Delivery at Discharge

Nov. 6, rom 8 a.m. - noon

This class is for service members who will be filing a service-connected disability claim with the VA. Through BDD, your VA Disability Claim is “fast tracked” allowing for adjudication before separation from service. BDD claims can only be submitted between 90-180 days before separation. Executive Transition Assistance Program (ETAP)

Nov. 4 - 8, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Senior personnel at the 0-5/6,CWO3/4, and E8/9 level should start the transition assistance process 24 months prior to anticipated retirement. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. Some of the many topics covered include financial planning and investing post retirement, resumes, job searching skills, interviewing techniques, federal and state employment options, veteran’s benefits, TRICARE options, moving your household goods, and more. Conflict Management

Nov. 8, from 9-11 a.m.

A workshop which enables the learner to apply collaborative problem-solving techniques to create positive outcomes from conflict resolution.
