Today’s story is about accepting gifts:
A former government employee with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) was sentenced for soliciting and accepting gratuities from VA vendors.
The former employee received three computers, airline tickets, and hotel accommodations from several VA vendors.
He was also charged with demanding a fourth computer and round-trip tickets to Las Vegas from another vendor.
The former employee pled guilty to one count of violation of 18 U.S. Code - 201 “Bribery of public officials and witnesses.”
