Today’s story is about accepting gifts:
A former employee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs was sentenced for soliciting and accepting gratuities from a VA vendor.
The former employee received three computers, airline tickets, and hotel accommodations from several VA vendors.
The former employee was also charged with demanding a fourth computer and round trip tickets to Las Vegas from another vendor.
The former employee pled guilty to one count of violation of 18 U.S.C. 201.
