CPO pinning to be held Sept. 13
All are welcome to attend a Chief Petty Officer Pinning Ceremony that will be held Friday, Sept. 13, at 9:30 a.m., at the Catalina Club aboard NAS Corpus Christi. Six first class petty officers will be “pinned” to the rank of Chief Petty Officer during the traditional ceremony.
Attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer is a significant accomplishment in the U.S. Navy. The Chief Petty Officer rank is often referred to as the “backbone of the Navy,” because of the vast experience and high caliber of the Sailors who comprise this cadre of seasoned professionals.
The following Sailors will be pinned:
MAC(Sel) Eric R. Pierce, of NASCC Security Department, who is a native of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; YNC(Sel) Minda R. Perez Taylor, of Navy Operational Support Center Corpus Christi, who is a Michigan native;
MAC(Sel) Michael B. Fechner, of Navy Operational Support Center Harlingen, who is a native of Harlingen, Texas;
ENC(Sel) Joshua A. Harruff, of NASCC Emergency Management, who is a native of St. Mary’s, Ohio;
