Bravo Zulu to the following NAS Corpus Christi personnel who were recognized recently in an All Hands Call: Bevan Benson was recognized for 10 years of Federal service. Melodie Firmatura was recognized for 10 years of Federal service. Kenneth Gambetta was recognized for15 years of Federal service. Joseph Struve was recognized for 35 years of Federal service. CSC James Jennings received his second Navy Commendation Medal for service as unaccompanied housing department leading chief petty officer, NASCC, from April 2016 to April 2019. His leadership was invaluable in the completion of a $198K room renovation project to improve the quality of life and accommodate CNIC 2+0 room requirements for 98 residents. As Command Equal Opportunity Manager, he led two command climate assessments that showed improvement in all areas and increased morale for NASCC. AC1 Alvaro Ramirez was awarded a Navy Commendation Medal for his service as leading petty officer, Air Operations, NASCC from April 2016 to April 2019. Ramirez expertly led a 17-person watch team in successfully completing 640,655 mishap-free flight operations. A departmental career counselor, he conducted 48 career development boards and coordinator 16 reenlistments totaling $85,000 in selective reenlistment bonuses for his Sailors. ABH3 Stephen Brescia was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal for his service from August 2016 to March 2019. Brescia conducted 4500 hours of airfield preservation using the A7000 airfield sweeper, which resulted in zero FOD and safety-related mishaps. He trained and licensed more than 2,000 personnel in the safe execution of airfield vehicle operations and proper radio communication procedures, ensuring strict adherence to NATOPS standards. He also dedicated 374 hours as a physical security officer contributing to the safety and security of base personnel. AC2 Cecilia Rosas was awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for her outstanding public service of more than 1,700 hours throughout the Navy and civilian communities from March 2013 to December 2018. She devoted time and effort to give back to numerous organizations including the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, Naval Aviation Museum, Girls on the Run, American Red Cross and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Victim’s Advocate.
