NAVSUP Corpus Christi team surpasses monthly HHG inspection goal
Members of the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) Site NAS Corpus Christi surpassed the NAVSUP goal for monthly household goods inspections for the month of May.
With more and more military families’ PCS moves occurring in the summer, the Household Goods Inspection Team works diligently to provide services for customers in South Texas. Over the 22 working days in May, the Corpus Christi team performed 88 on-site and 44 telephonic inspections, which equates to inspecting 91 percent of available shipments.
Made up of four highly experienced personal property counselors, the team performs on-site inspections throughout the entire Corpus Christi area, including outlying communities when possible. This is especially true when shipments are scheduled in and around our satellite office on board NAS Kingsville, which is staffed on Wednesdays.
The Corpus Christi HHG Team believes that their customers are key to their purpose, and that a HHG move should have as little stress as possible. On-site and telephonic inspections allow for better communication, immediate problem-solving and personal support for the member. A phone call to a customer in a remote location will reassure them that someone is available to answer questions during what is often a stressful evolution for members and their families.
