Michaela Long Occupation: Flight Student Years Exercising: 20 years Frequency: six times a week Favorite exercise & favorite food: Weight lifting and Thai food Favorite motivational saying: The hardest part is showing up. What inspired you to start exercising? As a kid it was just play. Now I try to work out in the ways that feel like play. How has being consistent with your fitness benefited you? Stress relief, mental health and confidence. What does your family or friends think of your fitness habits? They think I’m a little obsessed/insane. What are the challenges you have overcome to maintain your fitness? Injuries are always difficult to overcome because you are used to your body performing in a certain way and it’s frustrating to have to take time to get back to where you were. What advice would you give someone who is just starting their fitness journey? Just show up and do what makes your body feel good.
