-- Dr. Samuel Rivera, PhD, MCHES, CPHA, CLSSGB, Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi Health Promotion Program manager, describes his team’s innovative procedure for electronic directive routing, a method that won first place in the Lean Six Sigma category at the second annual Process Improvement Fair in the Crew’s Lounge earlier this month. Twenty-six display boards exhibiting intra-departmental improvement efforts were judged on methodology and rationale for initiative, for example, mission-related; the effect the project will have on patient safety and human resources; ability to be employed in other areas of responsibility or at higher-level authority; and presentation of data.
