Bravo Zulu to the following NAS Corpus Christi personnel who were recognized recently in an All Hands Call:
Lt. Cmdr. John Woods was awarded his ninth Navy Commendation Medal for his service as air traffic control division officer from August 2016 to March 2019.
Woods led 68 military and civilian air traffic control specialists in the completion of more than 500,000 flight operations spanning four airfields.
These efforts facilitated the continued success of Training Air Wing Four, Corpus Christi Army Depot, and the Department of Homeland Security, and provided the highest quality of customer service to the fleet, fighter and family.
MA1 Courtney Boone received his second Navy Achievement Medal for his service as watch commander, Security Department, from April 2016 to March 2019.
As watch commander, Boone supervised 30 security forces personnel through 200 calls for service, performance of 2,250 hours of flight line security checks, 110 random vehicle inspections, and 22 criminal investigations with no discrepancies.
He led the qualification of six watch commanders, 10 patrol supervisors, 18 patrolmen and 20 sentries.
AC2 Isenay Woldeyeus received a Navy Achievement Medal for his service as outlying field facility watch supervisor from February 2015 to February 2019.
His expertise was vital in the safe execution of 465,366 mishap-free flight operations snapping two airfields in direct support of Training Air Wing Four’s mission to train aviators.
ET2 Lauren Joslin-Denny was awarded her second Navy Achievement Medal for her service from December 2015 to March 2019.
As work center supervisor, she directed the completion of 4,680 maintenance actions, completed nine force revisions while maintaining a 98.6 percent record accomplishment rate.
She was instrumental in stowing and reinstalling all 11 communication antennas, par shelter and reflectors in preparation for and recovery of Hurricane Harvey.
MA3 Kyle Shields received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for his service of more than 550 hours of community service from January 2017 to January 2019.
James Lievsay was recognized for 10 years of Federal service.
Ruben Perez was recognized for 35 years of Federal service.
Assistant Fire Chief Ward Hawkins received a Certificate of Significant Achievement for his actions on Oct. 26, 2018, where he assisted in the pre-hospital care for a patient in cardiac arrest at the base running track.
Certificates of Life Saving were awarded to Assistant Fire Chief Nathaniel Pyle, Captain Brian Ray, Fire Fighter Derek Lemons, Fire Fighter Phil Lalla, Fire Fighter Adam Chodosh, and Fire Fighter Daniel Thompson, for their successful life saving actions on Oct. 26, 2018, where they provided pre-hospital care to a patient in cardiac arrest at the base running track.
